The Hackathon is open to:

1. Biz Futurists Developers: Senior Web3 developers, DeFi startup founders or co-founders, and CEOs/CTOs of software development agencies who have experience in the DeFi space and are looking to build and scale sustainable businesses using blockchain to address traditional finance challenges
2. Senior Web2 Developers: Experienced Web2 developers, aspiring founders, and individuals who have a strong interest in or are researching the DeFi and fintech sectors.
3. Eligible Individuals: Individuals who are at least of legal age in their jurisdiction at the time of entry.
4. Teams: Groups of eligible individuals
5. Organizations: Entities such as corporations, not-for-profit corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and other legal entities that are organized or incorporated at the time of entry.

Absolutely! Our events are open to both beginners and veterans of the Web3 world. This event in particular will be tailored to attendees who have experience with Web2 technologies and are interested in building on Web3 for the first time.

You may enter by visiting XRPL SEA Website and following the below steps:

1. Register for the Hackathon on the Hackathon Website by clicking the “Register” button
2. Complete and enter all of the required fields on the Register page of the Hackathon Website and submit
3. Complete and enter all of the required fields on the “Enter a Submission” page of the Hackathon Website (each a “Submission”) during the Submission Period and follow the requirements below
4. Participate in a comprehensive interview with our panel of experts to showcase your project, discuss your approach, and receive valuable feedback to refine your submission
5. Gain access to dedicated tech support to assist with any technical challenges you encounter during the Hackathon
6. Work closely with a business mentor who will provide guidance on market strategies, business models, and scaling your idea
7. Engage in the Hackathon in person by joining the physical event. Network with fellow participants, collaborate in real-time, and experience the energy and excitement of the Hackathon environment

The Hackathon will be structured as follows:

1. Learning XRPL Session: The event will begin with a series of educational sessions focused on XRPL (XRP Ledger). These sessions are designed to provide participants with a solid understanding of XRPL, including its features, capabilities, and how to build applications on this platform.
2. Builder Meetup: Following the learning sessions, there will be in-person Builder Meetups held in Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore. These meetups offer an opportunity for developers and industry professionals to network, share ideas, and collaborate. They serve as a platform to connect with other participants and gain insights from experts.
3. Assignment to Get Certificate: Participants will be given assignments to complete as part of the hackathon. Successfully completing these assignments will earn them a certificate, validating their participation and achievement in the event.
4. Hackathon - Demo Day: The hackathon will culminate in a Demo Day, where teams will present their projects and solutions. This day will showcase the innovative work done during the hackathon, with presentations and demonstrations of the developed solutions. Projects will be evaluated based on predefined criteria, and awards may be given to standout teams.

The Learning XRPL sessions will be led by:

There are no strict prerequisites. We just recommend having a passion for blockchain and a curiosity to explore XRPL. We’re excited to welcome everyone eager to learn!

We will do both online and offline sessions, however, you should join all of our activities to know more about XRPL and get support directly from us.

The Builder Meetups aim to connect developers and tech enthusiasts from Southeast Asia, facilitate idea exchange, and generate excitement for the upcoming hackathon. It’s an opportunity to network, share insights, and build anticipation for the competition.

You can sign up for a Builder Meetup in your city by registering through the link provided by the Administrator after the online training course. This link will be shared with the mass community for easy access to registration.

You are allowed to work on any idea you are excited about as long as it is building on top of XRPL. This means, the event is open-ended and you are not required to solve any particular problem. Our goal is to help you bring a project you’re excited about to life by providing you with technical help, mentorship, and resources. We also provide inspiration for ideas we would like to see and there are many partners at the event who give out prizes for integrating their protocols and SDKs which you can build with.

No. In the interest of fairness, attendees should not be working on their projects before the hackathon begins and we do not allow participants to work on pre-existing projects. However, you can familiarize yourself with all the tools and technologies you intend to use beforehand!

This event is strictly in-person and everyone will be required to attend in person at the event, otherwise will be marked as as withdrawn from the event. We do not facilitate online participation at our in-person events.

You are able to award prizes to any project submitted on their technology and that meets the requirements of that prize bounty.

Once projects have been submitted and submission has officially closed, you should not be working on your project again until PRIZES have been officially paid out / distributed.
